Hunter Valley Gravel Riding

Bush trails to farm lands, Wollombi Valley has some more to explore and the best way to see it all is on a gravel ride.
Finchley Track loop
Distance: 51.1 km
Minimum Elevation: 101 m
Maximum Elevation: 365 m
Total climb: 427 m
Total descent: 428 m
Starting and finishing at Myrtle & Stone, Finchley is our go-to ride from Wollombi taking a pit stop at Finchley Lookout over the amazing and spiritually significant Mt Yengo.
Watagan loop
Distance: 67.1 km
Duration: About 3 hours
Minimum Elevation: 103 m
Maximum Elevation: 490 m
Total climbing: 838 m
Starting on Great north road and turning left onto the gorgeous Murrays Run, this ride will take your right up to Bucketty before swinging back around through the Watagans. A gorgeous ride that changes scenery paddock by paddock swings back down to the great north road at Laguna where you can either take the road straight back to Wollombi or take in an extra climb and ride back to Wollombi along Yango Creek Road.
Boree Track out and back

Total climbing: 639 m
Through covered forests and open plains the Boree Valley is another of the gorgeous places to ride in the Wollombi Valley region. Again down Yango Creek Road towards Finchley, this time taking a laft at the fork. Perfect roads of gravel bikes.
